Wow... Not only is that a gorgeous photo... but there is no way I would be brave enough to get that close to something that looks like it'll sting me...

Thanks! It's a bit like 'know your bees'. As far i know all bees can sting. But they only sting when you try to hurt them. As long as they can move arround freely they won't sting. And the honey bees will also sting to protect their hive. Solitary bees won't even bother with that.

I've gotten better 'round them, but I haven't been stung yet and I'm not too keen on tempting them. But, for a photo of that quality, I think I would step out of my comfort zone. Either way, that photo is gorgeous!

X/ Oh jeez! Valiant deed repaid with a sting... I would rescue a bumblebee from a spider. They're very important creatures, after all. Especially bumblebees.
