Love the way his cape billows and the half-cut out dragon. Very illustrative.

Thank you! I figured it was from the perspective of someone who had just lost to the dragon and the last thing they see it this guy come to the rescue.

Well you can see that indeed, the perspective seems like you're lying on the ground and the dragon just happens to get distracted by the newcomer.
