You hear a loud crash near the entrance startling you! As you turn around an enraged barbarian brandishing a heavy sword bursts into the tavern and charges right at you! The look of raw anger on his face shocks you! He is after blood, your blood! You have barely enough time to draw your sword before he slams you on the table causing you to drop it! It is clear he intends to show no mercy!
Before you know it a searing pain courses through your body as the barbarian's sword digs into you! You scream in pain as you attempt to use your other hand in a desperate attempt to push him off you! But it is futile and his sword continues to painfully rend your flesh, his other hand on your face! Such visceral savagery, such unfettered brutality!
You can taste his dirty fingers in your mouth as the table breaks by the force of his blade! Your blood flies in crimson arcs as he continues to slice through your flesh and bone effortlessly! Never have you seen such fury, such rage in another person before! As you both crash onto the floor he drives his sword through your chest several times opening ragged holes in your skin!
Suddenly he stabs you in the belly and cruelly twists the blade shredding your guts! Each time you cry out in agony! Several minutes later your vision begins to dim as the angry barbarian continue to mutilate you! Eventually you parish in extreme agony with your entrails spread out on the floor!ย
The last thing you see is your killer splattered with your blood still hacking away at your body! Death's cold grip takes you away. Your suffering has ended. Unexpected yet expected. They said as a warrior you live by the sword and thus you will also die by it. But you did not expect it to be this slow or this painful. How naive of you to think that you could only die in battle.

That's why they are called barbarians. Because they show no mercy, have a primal thirst for blood, and are amused by their enemies suffering.
