Description Wile thinking about Thor 2, I thought it would be cool to introduce Amora The Enchantress and have her conspire with Loki. We haven't really see a female villain in any of the movies so it would be interesting.

Anyways, this is a design I came up with trying to go along with the style of Thor. For the head wear, I didn't want to make it big & tall like some of the comic renditions and to me it looked like a helmet like she's going to war which I thought felt out of character. So i shrunk it down a bit and the changed the shape a bit which ended up look a bit like the piece on The Destroyer's head. I like it because it's familiar.

For the dress and clothing I played with the inter-weaving of fabric and metal and layered fashion taking a bit of inspiration from Loki's wear for the little corset. Also gotta put a few rings in there to make it more Enchantress.

If Enchantress were to appear on screen who would play her? I couldn't think of anyone while drawing :/

Nice concept and sketch. The colored version looks cool too. How about that actress from Underworld and Hancock. Her name escapes me at the moment.

thanks! That was Kate Beckinsale and Charlize Theron respectively. I think both would do good jobs in the role

The Enchantress in the comic has "won" Thor a few times and I see her in the movie as the EX-Girlfriend still pining for Thor who's upset he picked a mortal over her.

Right. It would be interesting to see this, there's a lot that could be done with the dynamics between her, Sif and Jane. (I'm waiting to hear if they cast another female which could pretty much confirm if they're gonna use enchantress)

Awesome artwork! I'm personally hoping for her and Executioner as the villains with some malipulation by Loki. If not them, Sultur is the next logical choice.

Thanks! Yea I'm really interested in seeing who they use as the villain and who Mads Mikkelsen will play.

As lovely as this is, I somehow see the filmmakers wanting to have her in some form-fitting, leather armor. As for who can play her on film? The only actress who comes to mind is Charlize Theron, who can play a pretty menacing and obsessive villain.

Coincidentally, I also designed a non-dress and cape variation like how she's presented in the comics. She's a character that doesn't see a lot of hand-to-hand combat and uses minions to do the dirty work. I'd imagine she has multiple outfits for occasions and to play with different aspects of her personality. If she were to focus on her, I can see Marvel combine the characters Amora and Idun (Keeper of the golden apples) into one. Both have been called enchantress in the comics and it'd be cool to see a shift from good to bad in the character. I can really see Charlize Theron as Enchantress in her prime evilness (I could actually see her as Hela too). I think the film would have someone younger though more Thor's age. Where she's introduced as innocent and she goes through this transformation into a villain.

The most I know about her are from the recent animated incarnations, in that she secretly loves Thor, but can't compete with his affection for Sif. And seeing how it's Marvel Studios, I can imagine them wanting to draw inspiration for her costume from notable artists who drew the character, while keeping in line with what's already established tonally from the first film.

You're right on all accounts, which also support my points as well. She competes with Sif in the source material but because she's not Thor love interest in the films, Jane Foster is. But the competitiveness and jealousy can still be factored in between Sif and Enchantress. So far, Sif is in a sister type of role. Enchantresses costume has stayed pretty much the same, sometimes sporting variations of the costume for specific situations (i.e. a cloak/ cape outside, a dress when she's being a temptress or for formal situations). All of which I've taken into account for my design as well as incorporating the aesthetic style of the films.
