Even though I like anime/manga that have actual lesbian pairings these girls are still my favorites (except Kaorin. Which I find ironic.)

OTP

Kagura/Osaka Kagaka/Kagumu: I know most of you right now are going, "WTF!?" But I can explain why I like them.
They actually do have some form of chemistry, at least to me.
They're both Bonkura/Knuckleheads/Numbnuts, so Kagura wouldn't really feel threatened or not good enough when it came to brains. And they're do still compete to see who could get the highest/lowest scores, even though Osaka wouldn't really take it seriously. Osaka lacking passion might be their only real downfall.
But Kagura would keep Osaka in check in many ways - she's so spacey that I could see her getting taken advantage of, Kagura would have none of that. And they're both nice and both actually sensitive. The only ones more sensitive are Sakaki and Chiyo (obviously).
I think Osaka's wacky way of thinking would keep Kagura entertained and that unlike the others (except Chiyo) Kagura might actually listen, maybe even take to heart some of the things the girl says. And she might even be able to keep KAGURA out of trouble too. Osaka has some common sense after all... when it comes to danger at least (sometimes).

Yomi/Tomo Toyomi: An obvious one. I can see its flaws too though, since in a lot of ways I think I've felt some of what this pairing would be like IRL.
All in all though they'd have to sacrifice a lot to be together... something I'm not sure Tomo would do. So maybe these two would do better as a future couple. When Tomo matures and Yomi copes with her own insecurities and criticisms better.
But Tomo worked hard to get into the same High School as Yomi. Maybe it was just to prove her wrong but now Tomo doesn't work hard at all. I think she's in her comfort zone with Yomi.
They're always together and have the sort of closeness to them... they've known each other since elementary I think.
Not to mention that Tomo can crawl into Yomi's bedroom late at night... and the episode we saw that in, we actually saw Tomo could be a calm person. Perfectly fine with letting Yomi work without bothering her, just laying in her bed reading magazines and chuckling along with the radio show.
I think Tomo might be just what Yomi needs to get out there more and really get excited... something we never really saw in the series (save for Magical Land).
And Yomi might be the only one who can make Tomo think that maybe she's going too far, maybe she can really get hurt or maybe this really isn't a good idea. Rarely but we have seen that Yomi can tame the wildcat, at least a handful of times.
Sometimes I do think they seem like friends with benefits but there's not denying to me that there could be romance going on or maybe some day.

Sakaki/Chiyo Sakayo: This one has been used... but there's no fanart for it at all (I've seen one picture). That much makes me kinda sad.
I'll put aside the fact that I like FICTIONAL lolita pairings, I think these two could work in the FUTURE.
You never know what kind of girl Chiyo will grow into. What kind of woman.
I personally see her as growing into a modest yet lively person who is childlike without seeming too cloned off her younger self. Maybe with ambitions of teaching at her old high school or maybe she'd wanna work close to one of her friends or just something that can help people.
Sakaki confides things in Chiyo that she can't with anyone else (no, not Kagura and you know it. Kagura wouldn't let Sakaki feel silly about anything but if Kagura saw full blown Sakaki for who she is I doubt she'd be as interested.) I think Sakaki would hold that dear to her. I think if you gave it time, they could be a really good couple, in fact they're the couple that made me start reading Azumanga Daioh.
Together they'd be cute but still be able to converse intelligently. And you know Sakaki wants an adorable girlfriend.
And Chiyo has always admired Sakaki as both the athlete, the tall gorgeous girl, and the sensitive heartfelt animal lover she's too shy to let others see.
No one sees Sakaki, in the whole series, the way that girl did.
And if you really wanna get into age...
Chiyo's 13 in the end. You're gonna tell me you didn't get crushes before then? And 13, sadly, is even the age of consensual sex in Japan, or so I've read.(I could be wrong so don't quote me... I'm terribly sorry if I am.) So I don't think a kiss on the cheek is that bad.
Chiyo's just small.

... Ouyama x Chihiro is something I started but has since died in the Azumanga Fandom... I'll keep writing and drawing it though.
For those of you who don't really know who they are since they are both minor characters:

[link] The guy with the glasses is Ouyama Masaaki. He's not really... a character. He's just there and he's the only male besides Kimura and Chiyo's "Father" with a name. I personally like him though... I see him as a mix of Sakaki and Yomi. He gets a bot more play in the manga as one of Yukari's favorite victims.

... I paired Kaorin a few times too but I really, truly, deeply, fully, totally, loathe-hate-despise-detest her entirely with all that I am.
