Description
The idea to draw a phoenix was my friend's. She suggested I'd draw mythical creatures instead of always drawing the same dragons (and I think at the time I was complaining how I get only ideas to draw dragons, so she must've got enough of my whining 8DDD ) and this is where I'm now. The plan is to draw 10 (+-2) or so fantasy/mythical creature as a series.

The lineart was pretty easy to draw, the phoenix is much like dragon, so I used some same tehniques as with dragons. When that was easy, the coloring and celtic knots were truly almost driving me crazy. Happy I finally finished this! Now I can do something to my back which is hurting pretty badly 8DDD

I may have to redo some of the colours, 'cause I colored the landscape using a laptop, and I'm not used to this bright screen I have to wait and see. Yeah, I must have good imagination, at least when you see the mountains in the background (and i think mountains make themselves known in few other my drawings too... ). Mountains, again! 8D Next time something else. I hope The pic is done with Intuos3 tablet and Photoshop CS2.

Next creature is a manticore.
