Description My side of the story
A whisper in the dark
Disregarded wisdom from the mouth
Of one considered lunatic
But really I'm the sane one here
Ahead of my time, I guess
Galileo was burnt for his wisdom
I suppose I'm rejected for mine

You know, I've learned to live without
Your acceptance, your support
And I don't deny I've said some things
And done some things not right
But I don't need your accusation
There's nothing wrong with me

I remember now, when I was young
Lies keeping me in line
Growing up and learning truth
Find myself in stones unturned
In truths that you'd deny
You can keep your false promise
And your home among the clouds
You can keep your invisible men
Your chains of slavery follow

You know, I've learned to live without
Your acceptance, your support
And I don't deny I've said some things
And done some things not right
But I don't need your accusation
There's nothing wrong with me

I always was one to ask questions; why
How, who, what, when and where
To figure out what was the truth
Now that I've found it you deny
Call me a blasphemer, heretic dear
Claiming you love me no matter what
Testing the waters I found out it was false
Judging me just for love

You know, I've learned to live without
Your acceptance, your support
And I don't deny I've said some things
And done some things not right
But I don't need your accusation
There's nothing wrong with me
