MightyPirate [2007-03-28 18:50:07 +0000 UTC]

Hey, how did you get the curves in the cables to be so smooth? Nurbs?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AndyBuck In reply to MightyPirate [2007-03-29 15:58:07 +0000 UTC]

First off i used a spline to make the overall shape then i used the SWEEPnurbs to make it 3d then made that into an object, then i put that into a hypernurbs to smooth it off

thanks

andybuck.

This is pretty damn fantastic if I may say so!

cause I love the realism, textures look perfect, cables are perfect and the render ain't half bad too!

I can't believe your talent and i've only seen a handful of your work! Judging from what i've seen though I imagine your a perfectionist, if your not 100% happy with what your drawing, painting, modelling I bet your not satisfied and have to make it perfect for yourself.

This is a v.good trait to have in the art world. Keep up the good work

You defenetly paid alot of attention to the details, If I were you ( I wish ) I would have taken a rendering closer to the model, if you spent so much time modeling it, why not show off the work you did?

AndyBuck In reply to xianthil [2006-05-24 00:38:44 +0000 UTC]

well id like to think the second choice but i own one of these players so i just laid it on a table and modeled it, the wires were like that on the table so thats how i modeled them i did do a bit of faffing about in c4d to make them look better tho, glad you like them

Andy this is really good, brilliant rendering, im very impressed indeed. The only fault i can pick is that the headphones material isnt quite right somehow, cant pinpoint it tho :S

Your really good tho man, your gonna be ace at 3d

wow! this is really cool! im faving this and watching you!

juste one thing you should think about in your next realistic work: try to make the table a bit more realistic by adding a subtle anisotropic reaflection(i don't know if it exist in any other program than 3dsm).

Anyways, cool!
