Here is the constructive critique you wanted:
I like the character design and the concept of the composition is very cool. Your rendering skills here are very good but I think you don't have enough contrast with the character and background and so the flying bizar mouse gets washed out in all that darkness. You also have a lot of negative space so much so that it unbalances your piece. I would suggest adding more of that tall mushrooms like if it was a forest or something. This would help out with the contrast some as well as deal with the negative space issue.
Overall a good piece.
