Description
This is how I see the childlike empress in the neverendingstory-book.The empress in the movies are childlike and innocentlike and I dodn't mind that but the book decribes her as an overwordly fairylike creature.
And besides she has long white flowing hair and gold eyes which she did'nt have in the movie.
it just annoys me.

This picture has a really unique kind of beauty.
It radiates.
She looks so vulnerable, like there is impending doom, and she's looking to us for help. That would be true to the story.

I actually liked the tv-series(because I like old crappy fantasy tv-shows in general)
But I prefer not to consider it canon, it's not good enough.
And yes They don't stick to the book at all. it's just loosely based of the book.

Ah! Wow, you know, I've had the dvd's of the series for AGES but still can't be arsed to watch them. Not faithful to the book, huh? Well I *would* like to see what the Childlike Empress looks like.... Such a nice book though, it does deserve a better adaptation!.. And no illustrated versions of it either, no...

They are actually quite entertaining if you keep thinking that it´s not the neverending story.
And if you like to watch series with crappy visuals( you know i do)
THe childlike empress is NOT childlike-empress-ish at all in the series.
She´s a brunette and she wears this very pink dress( which I don´t really think match her hair colour)
besides, she´s too old for the part. she´s what? 16-18 years old?
Atreyu is rather good-looking though, but he´s more like a typical native american, while he should look like a green skinned grassland dweller.
yeah, that really is too bad,
It makes me want to illustrate the whole thing just to get a somewhat correct graphic version of it.
But no, I don´t think so, that´ll take forever.

Crappy visuals ahahhaha! Well I always like a nice story no matter what. But sigh, what bugs me is when I see a crappy film adaptation of a fave book of mine, like the Three Musketeers with Chris O'Donnel...

Oh yes it will certainly take forever.. But you know it's SO worth it to illustrate it, I mean it's one of the bestest fantasy books ever, and with such deep meaning and nice imagery!

I can´t help it. It´s not like I love them but i think they´re interesting enough to watch.
Haven´t seen the three musketeers, so I don´t really know about that one.
yes, she´s not a kid, if that´s what you mean.
And the pink colour is not a pretty pink colour.
I think if they´ve managed to make a blueskinned shadow crawler in x-men, a green skinned Atreyu would be that much of a challenge.
I know, It´s really is one of the best books ever written, but I think I´ll have to learn to finish my short stories before I even think of starting on a project like that.
