Ingredients: bravery, endurance, storm adoration and technical conditions: tripod, self-timer or remote release, and long shutter speed (if it's possible bulb shutter speed). Thank you for your comment!

Shutter speed is 81 seconds, so it wasn't necessary to be precise. It's important to start it to expose before the lightning strikes down.

Yes, I was thinking about it last night and what you said about putting the shutter on bulb. So you leave the shutter open and wait for a strike in front of the camera, and when it happens close the shutter? Either way, it's an amazing shot, and thanks for getting back to me with your explanation.
