Link and Zelda's relationship reminds me of that between John Carter and Dejah Thoris (Characters from Edgar Rice Burroughs). Cia's obsession with Link reminds me of Phador, the Thern goddess (The Gods of Mars) who becomes smitten with John Carter. But becomes murderously jealous of Dejah Thoris for having his love and not her. Just like Cia towards Zelda. I love the comparison!
