Description Well, it would seem that I am, potentially, on a roll here. I'll try to keep the momentum going and post as often as I can. Anyways, let's get into the lore:

1: TYPE-18B Midas - More like a weapon of its own classification than a mere battle rifle, the TYPE-18B Midas is a dynamic weapon. This blocky and compact rifle has two main firing modes, each with their own ammunition. The Midas’ primary mode allows it to function similarly to an automatic assault rifle, firing low caliber incendiary rounds with a very high rate of fire. In this mode, the weapon has tight projectile spread and decent range, but fairly high recoil, making it somewhat difficult to control during sustained fire. In this way, the Midas is a great tool for close quarters combat or breach and clear missions. The weapon’s secondary mode is more like a traditional battle rifle, whereupon it fires high caliber, high mass projectiles in 3-round burst fashion. These armor piercing projectiles utilize a gold core to increase their mass (as an alternative to osmium or iridium, which is more expensive), and they actually have minor tracking capabilities, allowing them to strike moving targets with greater efficiency. More than anything, the Midas’ secondary mode fires high mass ballistic micro-missiles. With these two modes, the rifle can function in both close range and near-long range combat, providing devastating results in each. For more specific statistics, this rifle fires 8.35x23.5mm incendiary projectiles at 1000 RPM with a muzzle velocity of about 2000 m/s, drawing from an 80 round magazine. In it’s secondary mode, the rifle fires 9.95x40mm armor piercing micro-missiles in 3-round burst fashion, drawing from a 51 round magazine; the Midas can cycle between bursts every 0.35 seconds, and comes equipped with a 1.5x to 6.5x zoom scope.

2: MK-24A Cathode Heavy Battle Rifle - Another weapon within the “Cathode” line, the MK-24A Heavy Battle Rifle is powerful and straightforward. This weapon, like any true battle rifle, fires in 3-round bursts for longer range and greater accuracy than a traditional assault rifle. This particular weapon fires high mass electrically charged slugs, making it quite devastating against armor and hazardous to weakly protected enemy electronics. While the weapon is effective at combating just about any opponent, it is most so against mechanized units. The MK-24A can also switch to a slow firing semi-auto mode, were it overcharges it’s magnetic propulsion rails to increase the muzzle velocity of it’s projectiles, and thus, their power. As an addition to this, the rifle can also switch to a 10-round enhanced burst mode, requiring a brief charge time before firing; this mode creates a wider projectile spread, and is therefore most geared to eliminating heavily armored opponents in close range combat. For more specific statistics, this rifle fires 10.2x30mm electrically charged slugs at roughly 2100 m/s in it’s 3-round burst mode, drawing from a 60 round magazine. In it’s 200 RPM semi-auto mode, the rifle fires these same projectiles with a muzzle velocity of 2150 m/s with an increased electrical bite. In it’s 10-round burst mode, the rifle requires a 0.6 second charge time before firing with an even higher muzzle velocity of 2200 m/s. Lastly, the MK-24A comes equipped with a 1.5x to 7x zoom scope.
