A sudden sound of a ringtone mercilessly woke him up from a deep, deserved sleep. Who on earth is calling someone at 2 AM?! he thought to himself. Half asleep, he reached out the hand to grab that damned, noisy object of his interim torture. A small chuckle of both amusement and disbelief escaped his mouth when he finally saw the name of his tormentor on the screen.

"Do you have any idea what time it is now?!" said Izuna Uchiha, trying his best to sound annoyed but failing terribly at doing so.
"It's been proven that people who stay up late are more likely to have a higher IQ" replied the voice on the other side. "Try going to sleep after 3 in the morning, maybe there's still some hope for your brain".
Izuna rolled his eyes and put his caller on the speaker. "Try having some personal life and then we will talk about sleeping in the less socially acceptable hours" Uchiha grinned "What's the reason for your call besides being worried about my IQ level, Tobirama?"
"I'm in" replied the white-haired Senju in his regular, emotionless manner.
"Say again?" asked Izuna not sure if he heard his friend's words properly the first time.
"I said I'm in" repeated Tobirama.
"Well, since it's still before 3 AM and my IQ hasn't started to increase yet, can you confirm to me that you said what you just said?" Izuna might not be in a mood for an advanced physics at that hour, but throwing jokes is another story.

Tobirama chuckled lightly. Few years back he would have never thought that the younger of the Uchiha brothers would become his good friend. And now he is about to become his partner in crime!
"I have made up my mind" answered Senju "I also want to stay here, in these times".
"And you're not drunk, right?" Izuna teased.
"God damn it, Izuna! Of course I'm not" laughed Tobirama "Is it really that shocking to you?"
"Well then, that's now a great ocasion to get drunk!" shouted Izuna and got up to open a window. He glimpsed through it and watched some people getting into a night bus, probably coming back home from a party. Him and Tobirama have been stuck in these times for 5 weeks now, but it felt like they should have belonged here since always.
"We need to discuss the details though" Tobirama's tone got more serious now. "We will have to close all the possible ways of them finding us. I already have some idea, but I will need your help with this".
"Good." replied Izuna. "Come over to my job tomorrow, I will arrange some quite place to talk".
"Fine." answered Senju. "See you tomorrow then".

Tobirama disconnected the call and positioned himself comfortably in his newly bought armchair. A sudden feeling of relief hit him harder than he expected. What is that? Freedom? Peacefullness? He wasn't sure at that moment. But it was making him feel complete. And good. So good.
