I have read all of the comments and praises of your photograph and could probably not add anything to them. I don't believe you became philosophical about what the image might mean. I think you saw the image of three trees with your artistic eyes and your heart beat faster and you became excited and felt wonderful. It is a mesmerizing image. Simply said, you did good and the rest of us are envious that we did not click the shutter on that image. I am glad your cat has returned.

I like the foot falls before the trees and the white void beyond
It remind me of the story of the three friends who were so close when young, age to meet death in a empty room

Absolutely lovely. Nice frame (I would not, in any way, crop it; the little path and the footsteps make it into a real, tangible, honest picture; wirthout them, it would look over-the-top surreal and manipulated), lovely shapes, beautiful symmetry. I really appreciate the time you chose to shoot it as well, because it makes sure the sky is neither too dark not too bright compared to the snow, creating a good tone harmony and not drawing the eye away from the trees.
