So I watched RotG yesterday because I realized I hadn’t actually seen it since the first time I watched it in theaters. And as you know, C.Pine is the voice of Jack Frost. And because I’m me and everything is Star Trek and Space Husbands, I drew crossover fanart and basically wrote an accompanying fic in my head while doing so.

Essentially, Spock is on Earth and notices the strange behavior of some of the ice/snow and determines it to be unnatural and therefore being controlled by some sentient being, thus believing in, and consequently becoming able to see, Jim the frost spirit. Jim latches on to Spock as the only one who can see him. This is, of course, a perfect dynamic because Spock, the lonely half-Vulcan, has been essentially on the outskirts of both his worlds, “unseen” by so many of his peers so he can relate to Jim. And beside the angst, there’s the fluff of the fun-loving frost spirit trying to get a calm, stoic Vulcan to lighten up just a tiny bit every once in a while.
