Description Well. What I can say about it. I drew i don't know why again them in military form but without blood this time
I think that title clearly shows art's theme...
Art shows relationship in 1939-1947...

Hmm... I know that the fanart is not new, but recently I've been thinking about this period. IMO neither Poland, nor Ukraine, were supporting nationalism to the extent of killing innocent people just because they happened to be Polish or Ukrainian. I think both of them were mad at each other, but deeply were sorry for what happened. So in other words - massacres of Poles in Volhynia, Pawłokoma massacre and Operation Vistula - nobody is proud of these events and they (as personifications of common, normal people) didn't supported them.

Well, just a random thoughts I also think that right after Polish-Soviet War, Poland supported the idea of federation (just like Piłsudski at the beginning), but the idea failed because of Entente influence... and some stupid fear of other religions, I think.

Their relations are so complicated and some people don't make it easier for them to be fully happy together ;_;

As for the fanart itself - I like the fact that Ukraine still has long hair at that time When do you think she cut them?

(sorry for the wall of text T_T)

I agree with your words. But even if they were (and now are) against it or sorry about it, they were in oposite sides, so they had to fight against each other (especially because of negative propaganda in those times).

I don't know much information about Piłsudski federation, but I remember that in school teachers said it could be awful for Ukrainians and Ukraine's independence. Maybe the main reason is point of views of diffrent countries: what in Polish schools said as good, in Ukrainian are not always like so, the same backwards.

Actually hair is already cut in this art in 1922, but not so much.
I think that she cut them shortly in 1942, so from that times she had always short hair...

Thank you for so big comment. I am happy that you felt an affection for my art *3*

As for federation, I read that it was something that Belarussians and Ukrainians wanted and Piłsudski promised them (he had kind of nostalgia for Rzeczpospolita). But as I said - the idea failed. I'm not sure whether it would be good or bad if federation really came true, it's a question for historicans As for history in school - yes, it's true, some events can be seen very differently, it depends on official view of a certain country. There's no such a thing as "objective" history, I'm afraid.

I love them in every relation. I think that's how love-hate pairings looks like - enough sweet, romantic and funny actions for love, enough angst, fights and sad events for hate. But that's what make them so interesting with each other :3
