Hopefully, her and Keishas Prisoner Uniforms will be a Karate-Gi with a black belt. That is, the Ivory-White, 3/4 Sleeves and Pants Type with Dept. Of Corrections on the back in Cooper lettering. That way will go better with the bare Female Feet

I bought a pair of shackles to wear when I was originally writing this, so i could experience it firsthand. The pinch is definitely real!

Nice!! I only have leather shackles right now, but I have worn handcuffs once and I know about the pinch! I can't wait till I can save up some money for more restrictive restraints!

Where do I start? The first panel so adroitly depicts The anguish of Mickey's parents, as her Mom leans on Dad for support; Mickey's forlorn glance at her folks, and awkard attempt to wave goodbye with her manacled wrists. Then there's the 'all in a day's work' attitude of the bailiff, as she steers Mickey matter of factly out of the courtroom, and into the hall. Then there's the three panel sequence showing just how hobbling the ankle shackles affect Mickey's attempts to walk, no doubt jingling as they contact the floor. Then a new humiliation Mickey likely never expected: being in an elevator with two girls around her own age, both of whom seem amused at her plight! Then finally, Mickey has to listen as the guard fills the two girls in on where Mickey is heading and for how long. Mickey looks about to burst into tears from sheer mortification. Just another example of why I love Anir's art so much.

And that's when she felt an itchy sensation in the back of her head. Reaching back...something prickly!
"Prisoner, what gives?"
Mickey: "You...have a cactus growing out of your skull?"
A sudden frown of "really?"
Mickey: "I didn't put it there, what are you looking at me for?"
A loud honking sound could be heard from above, like that of a Canadian goose.
"F/*&$!!!!"
"Why?" Mickey asked, "What does it all mean?"
Her escorter could offer no answer, other than a glance of: "If they'd let me, I'd tell you to run..."

Russ is a damn sight better than the Camelorum version of these same characters. Dromedeverse Russ is a dead inside deadpan. Stan, the warden in that version, is a charming but clueless old coot with a thick British accent, like he was lifted from another time period. Officer Pitterson is a seemingly always cheery Disney Prince wannabe. Officer Julie Mulie is an airhead constantly abused by the supernatural characters, with the normal prisoners unsure how to even respond. She only keeps her job because Stan gets along with her really well, and never notices her bumbling. The prisoners pretend not to notice, for fear that someone mean and semi-competent might replace her.
Antonio is a comedic Mexican stereotype, who is slightly more competent as a guard, though his funny accent is off-putting to some.
Frank is a guard with horrible luck and worse anxiety, after Carly accidentally turned him into a mix between Bambi and Baxter Stockman.
Only Bob is truly mean. But with toilet monsters, a goose kaiju, obnoxius talking, flying pigs, extradimensional invasions, and evil aliens constantly harassing the facility, the prisoners don't even need the guards to keep them in line. The unreality of their new reality is enough like Hell to do the trick.
Mickey...is lucky compared to that. Sure, she's in for a year of backbreaking labor, with the likes of Keisha. But at least the Mauve Puma will never drop a piano on her. And she won't get sucked into another dimension every three weeks. And no one will turn her into an avocado for telling a bad joke either.

The funny thing (to me), is that I originally intended Sgt Russ to be one of the friendlier bailiffs/guards/etc Mickey encounters. It's all downhill from here for her (with the exception of Officer Bell, who is just a little sweetheart).
