Well...Having fun experimenting with this new technique I found.
It’s called foreshortening.
ANd yes, after some days of practice I’ve decided to take on drawing some foreshortened objects and body parts.
I did study a tutorial from drawinghowtodraw.com for the human fist. So I drew this one after I’ve read the tutorial and practiced a few times.
I just added the foreshortened dagger for fun XD. And I think it turned out to be... okay? I guess?
Shading is terrible btw, I’m not proud of it.
Can’t wait to incorporate this technique with Sirius haha.

Just an ordinary person here commenting.
Considering the angle of the hand and how it gripped the dagger, the handle of the dagger seems a bit big that makes the mid hand part looking slim on a tightly grip mode. And it would be nice if there's a cleaner version of the image without guidelines.

This looks really amazing especially when you concider how hard it is to draw hands.
The shading looks absolutly gorgeous and gives the drawing an amazing 3D effect. I really love how it looks!

First off, hands are hard to draw, but you mastered this!!!! The places where the knuckles are in the perfect spot! The way the hand is positioned holding the sword is just awesome!!!
The sword is in the right direction when being held. Really, nothing is wrong with this in my eyes! But for the future, practice some more so you can absolutely master hands every time!!

Ok so as for the constructive comment, i thought i would comment on your most recent drawing
I absolutely love this, its very smart, and gives a great 3D effect. The hand anatomy is GREAT! This piece is quite trippy and cool overall!
Some things to improve this artwork (i had to think about this for a loooooong time!!!)
- to add a more 3D effect, you can add some shading with pencil. Depth is key! Think about the angle of the sun, and where it would shine on the different parts of the drawing. You can even stand in the sun to see an example. Where you shade harder and darker, obviously it would have less sun. To add a slight shine to things, you need to add a colour that is lighter than the one used. You can lightly colour in grey lead, or use a silver pen on the sword, and go over in white pen, or rub it out where the sun would shine. This not only adds depth but light as well as shading.
In my experience with traditional art using grey leads and pencils, i've found that you can use a rubber to blend to colours, or smooth shading. H

But as for traditional, your point about shading is absolutely true!! I can certainly add that to my works!
I will have to put in some time to practice shading though haha

I’m still trying to master foreshortening as of now.
It will be cool when I use it on Sirius! Make him do some action and stuff
