Well, my dear philosophical friend, I feel honoured to have such a critique from you - welcome to my dream!
I am intrigued by the thought of the spiral being a little smaller and not cut off at the edges; maybe this is something I might experiment with to see the effect that really has. More little puffy clouds over the water too... Yes I think that could also be interesting, although I did aim not to make the image too cluttered with elements, so I'm not sure whether that would make it more so, or actually enhance it. I shall continue to play!

Oh yes, I love those sorts of scenes! Yes, I'm curious what I'll come up with - but I probably won't upload another one quite so similar to this, unless it's just as an exercise to instigate the positive ideas put forward. I'll have to think about that...
