I remember first learning about steven universe. From the commercials, it did not appeal to me. From my first assumption, i thought it was about a kid who got a gem stuck in his belly button and now he hangs out with this group of gems that affiliate with whatever was in his gem. My sibling FlippingChicken then told me i should check it out, as they saw part of an episode and it greatly intrigued them. We watched the first episode, and since that didn't pull me in initially we saw giant woman. I was immediately hooked.

I remember watching jail break live. I remember making my reddit account just to be in the SUleaks subreddit. I remember screaming as pink diamonds reveal happened. I remember all the theories, seeing all the speculation across reddit, twitter and tumblr. It's fan base isn't the greatest, but it was amazing seeing how just widespread it was across platforms.

I'm not going to make any big statements saying how it changed my life or anything like that, it's just a show I happen to adore dearly, but it certainly left an impact. It's a show I've been following since 2015; screaming about the reveals, dying from the constant hiatuses, watching steven and the gems grow. I've been there for it all, and I'm so happy i could be on its wild ride of a show.

Thank you steven universe for inspiring me, for helping me create characters I adore, for giving me ideas for my own stories. I'm sad to see you go, but I'm glad I was here for the end.
