So, what is the thing she's holding supposed to be/do?

A ribbon with two sickle-like things.

So, what's the purpose of it? Is it decorative, as ribbons tend to be, or was it made with an eye towards it being a stabby thing, as can be said of most sickles?

The sketch was mainly about basic costume design, i just added that thing as an afterthought. If it needs to have a purpose, my guess would be ceremonial or decorative.
