hey what type of ink or pen do you use? because your sketches look so amazing! I've always wanted to make my inks think thick, but could never figure out how.

This drawing was done with a Uniball roller ball pen. Silly, I know. The blacks were spotted with a Kuretake watercolor brush pen, with ink in it instead of water. It's basically a reservoir brush with nylon bristles.

Pretty basic, but produces result I like.

I don't think it's silly.

every artist has their own way going about on things.^^

your art though is super inspirational! I've always had a thing for inks but I could never find out what suited me best. I'm not good with the old fashion ink nib pen. tried it may times ahaha and could never get my picture right. it's hard for me to control it. the weight of my lines ended up look strange every time. brush pens are different however! I feel like I'm able to flow more easier with them, which feels really good haha. speaking of which, I never even heard of a Kuretake water brush pen before. forgive me if it's something of that all artist should know of haha. how is that like and what do they look like? also bristles are always nice!;D

Part of the fun of experimenting with new materials is seeing how it changes the way you draw. I've come to a sort of zen understanding that my materials are going to push back on me and my abilities. Being "not good" with a nib pen may actually be inaccurate. You might be really good, but the pen is pushing your drawing in a different direction--if that makes sense.
The Kuretake brush pen is one of many models of reservoir pens (sometimes also called water brushes). Check it out at Jetpens.com [link] , which is a pretty rad site for buying pens.
