Absolutely fantastic, lively, picture! We can almost breath the rainy night's air.

God, I'd love to see you shoot a short film. It could be completely plotless, and as long as the shots were as gorgeous as this I would watch and spam it.Β

Really love the ambience. You played very well the contrast between the lights and the surrounding darkness. And the rain adds a je-ne-sais-quoi to the ensemble. Well done!

Nice. I believe that there's an old movie with that title, but I doubt there's any connection between it and the picture.

There is! And I just really happy that you brought that up because there is a connection! Dario Argento (Director) has always been a major inspiration and the film has influenced a lot of my film and photo work. I usually name one photo in my night photo series after it to pay tribute .Β

Hmmm! I never knew it was that interesting. I think I only heard of it and assumed it was some low-budget horror movie. I'll check it out. It's undoubtedly online somewhere.

You should! It’s considered one if not the of most visually beautiful horror movies ever created, and has one of the most terrifying scenes in film (no really, I didn’t make that up lol) let me know when you watch it, I could seriously could go for hours about this film. (I did an academic analysis on it for my BFA)

BigJimMcFarkle In reply to AnthonyPresley [2020-02-16 00:44:29 +0000 UTC]

I will. I'm a fan both of horror and old movies. I already have a pick for "the most terrifying scene in film," so I'll see if "Suspiria" beats it. My current pick is from a 1961 movie called "The Haunting" that got a far-inferior remake in the 1990s. The 1961 director believed that it's not what you see that scares you: it's what you *don't* see. Of course, it helped that CGI didn't exist and practical effects are expensive, so they were more or less forced into the "don't see" option.
