Alright- I was waiting for the special kind of photograph to write my first critique in a long time... And I think this time has come.
This is a truly beautiful picture. The colours are wonderfully golden, almost surreal. That tiny patch of blue sky catches your eyes, and you can't help but stare at the picture just a little longer...
I like the perspective. I'm pretty sure my screen isn't 3D, and yet I feel like I was there with you when you took this shot.
The shapes (mainly the shapes of the door-like structures) aren't something we see everyday in our Occidental societies.
Your eyes don't get bored watching your photograph. And the fact the shot isn't centred is, I think, the main raison. Good choice.

Brilliantly done photo, bravo! I love the depth you achieved with the repeating arches and the sharp use of color. I would like to see a sharper depth of field to enhance the length of the hallway. I think you can dial back the vignette just a little too. But I enjoyed the harsh texture, you did a good job capturing the unforgiving environment with it. So be careful not to lose that if you decide to experiment with a sharper depth of field. I hope to see more of your work in the future. Thank you for the mind vacation to Bahrain.

The lighting in this picture is just...magical to say the least. The golden tones mixed with the sapphire of the sky makes it seem otherworldly, like you're transported to another time long since passed. And the shadows along the edges, like you're walking through a dark mist to suddenly emerge in this golden palace, makes it that much more mysterious and wonderful.
The way you've positioned the shot makes one wonder, what could be waiting around that bend? It makes you want to walk straight into the picture and immerse yourself in whatever world this is. I can almost feel the breeze through the walkway, the coolness of the stone, and the crunch of dust under my feet. You've made this place come alive with this picture.
I think this is my favorite shot of yours yet, and that's saying a lot!
