Description Always enchanted by the grace of the swan...
A great bird that swims so gracefully, so majestically...
Such a bird must swim in heaven... and must of course be female...

hoh la la - beautiful, dear Tassos
remember a old book of Neruda, a writer from Chile who talk about swan in one of his book...

A poem from him to you

Bird

It was passed from one bird to another,
the whole gift of the day.
The day went from flute to flute,
went dressed in vegetation,
in flights which opened a tunnel
through the wind would pass
to where birds were breaking open
the dense blue air -
and there, night came in.

When I returned from so many journeys,
I stayed suspended and green
between sun and geography -
I saw how wings worked,
how perfumes are transmitted
by feathery telegraph,
and from above I saw the path,
the springs and the roof tiles,
the fishermen at their trades,
the trousers of the foam;
I saw it all from my green sky.
I had no more alphabet
than the swallows in their courses,
the tiny, shining water
of the small bird on fire
which dances out of the pollen.

I know Neruda... "Canto Genera" was my personal Anthem when I was younger... not that I changed now...
Thank you my Mimi!!!!

She's doing a course at the moment, and is still busy making business connections. She heard from a rescue centre too, that Ben has been found and none the worse for wear. She was going to pick him up on Wednesday, and naturally is thrilled to have her beloved cat back - I did warn her that he's probably a natural stray and she would need to ensure he stays indoors for a very long time. She and I have Skype so we've been able to talk to one another on the internet for free. Not heard from her since Tuesday now though and I haven't seen her on-line since. I assume she's very busy. She did say she would be back on dA as soon as possible though.

Thanks - I know you do, and I care for you as I know Lily does too.. She never seems to come on line on Skype so I can't contact her except when she lets me!!! I just have to send emails and hope for an answer!

Wonderful image and the love of a swan is also very graceful. In Germany I've seen once the unbelievable love between a Swan and a man. He went for month on a lake to feet family and once the swan was laying his neck on his shoulder with such a greatness you just needed to stop and watch this picture.
I also get reminded on the fairy tale from the ugly duck who became the most gorgeous swan
