Description Once upon a time the Tree of knowledge gave birth to a strange fruit : The Human Brain....
Oil on Linen Canvas (1981)

P.S. Maybe one deviation per day is too much...Maybe I should slow the rhythm a bit to give fellow Deviants the time to appreciate (and hopefully fave) each piece at leisure...Maybe the LightBearer, the Distillation of Beauty and the Tree of Knowledge are pressing one another...I would like your opinion...

I come to your gallery often .. and most of the time look at a single piece, many of which I've seen before, but not appreciated in totality .. today this one pulled me in, and I adore it! Like most of your work it's so deep in concept and so brilliantly done!

This is so beautiful and dreamy. I really like your color choice. I also like the way the brain seems to glow with knowledge. The glow makes it seem alive, processing information of a higher level. The white horse in the foreground provides this image with a type of gentleness. Very nice image.

What a wonderful concept this is, and beautifully painted too! It makes me giggle to think of the human brain being the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil!!!

I don't understand why you care so much [or so it seems] about faves. Yes, it's nice to know that your work is liked and appreciated...but surely one doesn't make art for that purpose alone.

Anyways, this is an interesting picture. It's nice to see how much you've progressed since this painting was done. But this still has your signature surrealist touch and skill. Good work!

Thanks my friend..Of course I dont make art for faves...I make it for my personal need for expression..And anyway the paintings you see are already made and sold a long time ago...But! faves is like an applause and I have not met the artist yet who does not want that applause!!!
I think I will resist the urge to post one deviation per day so that my friends have the time to see each image at their leisure...Thanks for your kind words

The horse looks like he's part alien with those eyes, nice work!
To be honest I do like a slower rhythm with submissions, I look much longer at one than I do at 2 or more. I just can't believe that you can turn them out that fast!

My dearest Kaycee, most of those paintings are done a long time ago (Thus the difference in style and nuances)..So lately I post images already done...I will slow the rhythm of posting them anyway, you are right at that..
All my loving to my dearest Kaycee

whoa! this one is quite different looking form your others. I love the mystical feeling of it, and the mist adds a very nice touch. and the tree tree! that tree is just lovely!

Thanks my foster daughter!!! Just hoping not to overflow DA with one deviation after another..What do you advice as a senior (comparing with me) DA member? Tell me your experience...I told you to wait and you will see completely different things, but only in the surface...

EmberRoseArt In reply to anubis [2007-08-03 07:53:53 +0000 UTC]

well, according to my "experience" I think youshould let more than one day pass between your submissions. As many DA memebers don't update their deviantWATCH and/or messages daily, they may find that they have too many new submission to look at, and thus not pay enough attention to them.

Thanks my Roser, that is very useful and that is what I thought myself... Ok ...new deviation every 4-5 days.. I think it is a good compromise
