They found a sanctuary within her compassion.
A respite from the cruelty of the world with the generous bowels of her generosity...
...but they had none for her in return.
They came as always to take, to replenish what life had drained for them...
...never to give...never to give...
Yet she kept giving. Giving as it hollowed her out. Caring as it wore her down...
...a radiant beauty in a world gone dark...

This is so fascinating! Like part of me is disgusted since she's like ripping herself open, but that's like exactly how it feels to have butterflies in your stomach!
