Description

She is outside and she sees his silhouette. She has heard rumors of Bathsephus, and though her mind is telling her to run, her heart says differently. She senses that the beast is not approaching her for blood. When she sees Bathsephus’ eyes, and the shame in his face, she immediately knows it’s her son, and instead of disowning him, she accepts him as the beast he is. She does not bring up the fact that he has blood dripping everywhere. His expression says it all. “What have you gotten yourself into now, my son?” She says with a smile on her face. It’s good to see you.

A brief summary of Bathsephus' story:

All people in his world are born with a third eye with a power. Most powers are not very powerful, just good for small things, but at a young age, our main character (whom I have yet to name in his human form) finds out that he has the power to transform people into different forms. He accidentally deforms his friend when he gets mad at her and is so frightened, he runs away. He is an only child and lives with his mother, she is getting old so she needs help on their land because they are poor. When he gets older, he decides he is better off on his own with his power and runs from home. He makes a large profit, using his power for money. He is basically a big arrogant jerk. Then the same girl that he deformed years ago, shows up as a customer. He does not recognize her until he has turned her back into her normal self. Then somehow she steals his eye and turns him into a beast to give him a taste of his own medicine. As a beast, he does not have a third eye. He roams as a beast and gains a reputation for killing livestock or something. But one day he cannot control his urges and he kills someone. With everyone out on the hunt for him, he does not know where to run to (as shown in the painting above) so his feet take him away from everything and back to his old home. There his mother recognizes him. She sees the shame in his eyes, and like the prodigal son, welcomes him back with love even as a beast. That is all I have figured out at the moment. Who knows really what it will turn into in the end. It's just an idea now.
