History
Hailing originally from early twentieth-century Terra, Bridger Mehmood began his career as an archaeologist at the University of Cairo after graduating top of his class. He quickly made a name for himself in the field as a competent and driven team leader with an utterly ruthless competitive edge. He would move mountains to make sure he got first pick of any promising digs. His only downfall was that certain valuable objects tended to go missing from each of his digs, which he initially blamed on various locals robbing his camps in the night. The stolen artifacts would sometimes mysteriously reappear on the black market, however, usually for exorbitant sums of money.

Then, one day, his team discovered something unbelievable in a tomb they were excavating: A electrical device of some sort, unlike anything they had seen before, strapped to the wrist of a skeleton in tattered and entirely strange clothes. Before they were able to give it proper study, though, it disappeared like so many items before it. Rumors had already begun to spread of course, and his colleagues were beginning to get suspicious. Over the course of the next two years, though, Bridger began to get even more mysteriously wealthy than ever before.

Finally a visiting professor noticed an artifact on Mehmood's desk that he could have sworn had been reported missing years ago and immediately went to the Dean. A series of increasingly public inquiries later it was discovered that Dr. Mehmood himself had been stealing the artifacts over the years.

When the police arrived at his lavish home to take him away, they heard a distant zap and found the house cleaned of all valuables.

Dr. Mehmood was never caught.
