Because I'm working on a pretty massive project, I figured I'd tantalize your tastebuds with some selections from my graveyard of unfinished images, starting with this fairly recent one. It's Chell from Portal, and after a certain length of time working on it, I decided I didn't have the desire to work on it any longer.There is just so much I'm unhappy about with this picture and there things I simply do not feel like addressing at this time.
While I might come back to this drawing or revisit Chell later, at this time it's nothing but a partially finished sketch rotting away on my hard drive.

If it makes you feel any better about it, this picture was actually pretty much the entire reason I drew that Chell inflation comic from not too long ago. Something about this picture really does it for me. The angle, the scale of her head compared to her body and tits, everything about it conveys such a sense of pressure and humiliation that's just really enjoyable to see. If you don't finish this version of the picture, I at least hope you produce another version, because I really do love this one.

Boredom, a lack of motivation, frustration with attempting to get clean lines. A variety of reasons, really. It happens to me all the time.

I've heard a lot of similar sentiments, actually. With me, though, it's more likely that I'd redraw the whole thing from the beginning, especially considering how much time has passed since I started this.

It was originally going to be a blueberry image. The orange lines are the initial sketch, while the black lines are the beginning of the inked layer. If this was finished, you wouldn't see those orange lines at all. I included them in order to leave as little to the imagination as possible. No harm in asking, by the way.

In actuality, the drawing is a reference to one of the Fact Cores many dubious quotes, "Before the Wright Brothers invented the airplane, anyone wanting to fly anywhere was required to eat 200 pounds of helium."
The size of Chell here was calculated approximately based on the calculated volume of 200lbs of helium. Whether or not these calculations are accurate is debatable.

It looks fantastic so far, I think! I'm just curious as to what context she is in, I suppose. The large frantic sound effects make me want to know how she got so large, honestly.

Wow, I'm glad you finally uploaded this, I always loved how this looks! It's a very exciting and frantic image for what you normally do, what with the huge size, the massive bloating sound effects and Chell's expression through all this... it's a shame this will never be finished and that you dislike it as well, because it looks like it would have been fun and would have filled a pretty big hole when it comes to Portal 2 expansion.
