Description

The theme is how the Ocean and Man (or rather, land even) is interconnected.

Edit: tried to lighten the paper digitally

I realize some of the water parts are a bit dirty, but the point there was the dark stuff is contamination (oil, chemicals, etc) which comes back to us through rainfall, and I guess you could also say tsunamis. The moon is relevant to weather and the ocean.

Though apparently missed the deadline to a last minute art event, I did manage to get some art done yesterday evening hosted by the Vancouver Aquarium. Needless to say, I was excited.

The title was inspired by a highway in North Vancouver which connects Vancouver to Whistler.

Truly saddening that the "deadline" for the art event I created this for was not "on" the 30th, rather, apparently, before it...however two sites said differently...and here we are, feeling the cold side. ( I found out about it far too late).

I used watercolors, pen and sea salt to attempt affects...also because it was amusing since it's about the sea.

It's really wonderful, and with a deep meaning. I love it!

Awesome, dynamic composition! I love the water turning into the clouds (or the other way?). It shows how everything in nature is connected.

Thanks . That was indeed the intent, with a mix of trash that goes along with it that unfortunately makes it look less pretty....but sadly is how it really is.

It's sad that people throw their trash in the sea... it's so selfish.
