Everybody's got their own aesthetic and this is a great photo, sound technique. My only critique is that I think it would have been more impactful if you had shot it from about 15 degrees higher. I think it would give more of a 3D volume to the plant.

Thank you. And yes you are right it would have created a more voluminous appeal. But I'm pretty much sure that it would have created a completely different light setting (the low sun created only in this camera position a back light condition) and a translation of the focal plane and hence also a different sharpness transition. So as per chaos theory changes might create undesired effects.
Personally I'm not 100% satisfied with the result re composition, but the light mood was just too great to led this shot end on a secluded sector of my HDD.

Absolutely. I sometimes comment before I think things all the way through. After commenting, further contemplation fostered the same question about the change of position/change of light effect and how it would affect the overall. In my mind I imagined it working out where you got the volume I suggested while still maintaining the backlight you desired. But like you alluded to things don't always work out like we think they will. Despite my suggestion, its a great image.
