Nice work! I thought that Sauron was actually dead, by the time of the books/movies and what remained was that shadow. Still kind of powerful though.

Thanks! Well some part of him always remained while the one ring was still around, and even before he made the ring he could ”die” without really dying because of him being a Maia. He did lose the ability to take some forms though, like the fair form he used to decieve elves and men which I tried to depict in the drawing

Dude, i love this!  There aren't a lot of pictures displaying Sauron's days amongst the Numenorians.  Cool stuff.

It's odd we don't see much of him in the books, beyond a mention.  The movies seem to do him the exact opposite diservice of showing him too much, in a way.

I get one is Sauron's shadow. But who is the guy in white? Kind of looks like Saruman.

It's all Sauron Since he was a shapeshifter in his younger days, he took many forms both terrible and sometimes fair and beautiful, so this is just my interpretation of him at some point, possibly in his original Maia form. Though his true self is seen in his eyes and his shadow looming over him
