Started on this today and pretty pleased with how he's turning out so far! I was a little concerned about how the muzzle was turning out for a while, but I've been keeping at it for the past couple hours and this is what I have
I usually don't work on faces until the end, but I wanted to make sure I could pull off his face before continuing on with the rest of his body. Enjoy!

Did you do increases for the muzzle and then felt onto it or did you just make the crocheted part round and add the volume with the felt?
Looks amazing by the way! I've been making different creatures here and there. I was looking for some new inspiration and I found this little guy and just about died! Fantastic job!

Thanks! Well, a large part of his face is needle felted. Only his head and ears are crocheted. You can do a lot of shaping and detailing with needle felting that you might not be able to do with crochet, which is why I chose that route.

So Cute!! He was always my fav.. although I'm a fan of the book more than the movies. He's so adorable though!
One question though.. I've been wanting to use needlefelting with crochet for some time but when i went to the shop I noticed that I couldn't just buy one needle but that there were in fact several sizes and each in size in various coarseness not to mention that each packet had a set of different kinds of needles....
Which do I choose?! O.o

Thanks! I went to the shop again today and I was going for the coarse ones but then I found little set of three needles each in a different coarseness. I can't use multiple ones at once with them but I mostly work with small crochet things so it'll do the job nicely for now.
