Astra is made with minky, custom dyed minky and mochi minky. They sit at about 9.5 inches from the bottoms of the feet to the top head; 12 inches including the horns. The face, paws, ears and belly are machine embroidered and appliqued. The paws are filled with polypellets to help them be poseable and give them some weight.

I have never planned on making a sitting beanie plush. To be honest, I had multiple tabs of manu’d plushies to get an idea of how to make a sitting bean. I do really like the final results though! I was tempted to just make this plushie standing with polypellets in the rump to “force” the sitting position a bit better.

In the end though, the pattern is a heavily modified version of my standing pattern, you can kinda tell with the “standing” photo.

Quite a bit of fabric needed to be dyed, after I realized the original colors were too blue, but I do recall the dye jobs being fairly easy!

The paw pads are made of mochi minky, and wanted to make them puffy but the polypellets made them bulge out a little too much. On the brightside, the thread scultping helped make them look more puffy!

I don’t think I have much else to say about this little one, but I’m super excited to have this pattern available for myself now. Another little relaxing plush, especially since nowadays I don’t have a chance to work on feral characters. Some personal projects will fit that soon, hopefully! ^u ^
