Mannn.... I am in this so deep... Here are two new Splatoon ocs I created. I finally decided to make more octoling characters.
So first up is Starlight, or Star for short.
Star's childhood wasn't an easy one. Where resources are limited and you have to fight for food, it obviously wasn't an easy life for a young octoling mother, so she left her child in a box, hoping that someone else would be able to care for her. The poor child had no idea of the difficult life she was going to face. When the young Octopus woke up, she looked confused and looked around. Nearby there were some Octarians, she tried to get their attention but obviously they were ignoring her. She soon got upset and started to cry which caused one of the Octarians to come over and tried to get her to stop but nothing worked, so eventually the octarian got angry and slashed her with it's tentacle, the force of the slash left its mark and knocked the poor child out, which led the Octarians to leave. After almost a week, the poor octopus could barely even open her eyes, she was soon scooped up by a young octoling woman and her child. She eventually grew up, remembering the events of how she got her scar and stayed close to her childhood friend as they quickly learned that to survive, you'd have to be quick and steal what you want. Eventually life became too dangerous for them to live out on the streets, so she was sent with her friend to Inkopolis where she is currently hiding because she can't show her face but her friend can because of his heritage and looking more like an Inkling then an Octoling. That friend, is Comet.

Comet never really knew his dad, all his mother ever said was that he was a very brave squid and that he was one of the best fighters that she had ever known. She told him about where he had come from and that if he ever needed to go there, there was a home for him there if things got too tough for them here. One day when him and his mother were out, they had found a baby octopus all on her own in a box with a scar near her right eye. His mother quickly scooped up the poor child and led them back home where she started to take care for the young octopus, doing the best she could to treat the scar, but there wasn't anything she could do. Comet eyed the child carefully, noticing the star birthmark and how her white spots seemed to twinkle like stars. He then told his mom that they she call her Starlight. His mother smiled and said that was a lovely name. As time grew on, the two had become close friends, they told each other everything, like how Comet was more interested in guys rather then girls, and how Star wanted to get again from the octarians and the octolings because she didn't feel like she fit in. So the two of them decided to move to Inkopolis.

Star is 14 while Comet is 16.

Star is a very shy and quiet girl but she can be quite bubbly and happy when around people she knows. She tends to keep to herself most of the time or has her head down. She hasn't really been able to communicate much with others due to the fact that she isn't exactly suppose to be in Inkopolis but she usually can talk to Comet.

Comet is a pretty laid back kind of guy normally but he is very serious and protective of Star because he knows that most people won't take well to an Octoling being in their midst. He usually takes her out on walks so she doesn't feel cramped in the house despite her being able to wander about the house as she pleases. He usually has her wear a cloak when they go out and usually sticks to the alleys so that no accidents happen. Comet usually uses a Squiffer when he competes in Turf Wars, his gear consists of a Beanie, a Firefin Navy Blue Hoodie and Moto boots.
