So, I know this is out of nowhere for me but I ship these two for a good reason. X3 Before I start explaining why, before Sword and shield release, people would ship Nessa with Marlon because both are water type people and at that time, we didn't know much of the game. I didn't mind that because it's another one of those crack shipping or nevermet ship and I don't mind crack shipping. After I played the game, I been thinking that of these two together and I wanted to ship them so badly XD because think about it, Nessa is a friend of Sonia and Raihan is a friendly rival to Leon and they seems really balance out and there perfect for each other. Nessa is compassion about water type pokemon and she is a model while Raihan is this laidback person who like to take selfies. (I can't imagine Raihan would want to take selfie with Nessa. XD) Both are also really good battlers. I know Nessa's Rival is Milo which what it said the league card said and these two didn't interact in the game a lot but this came out of my head and I want to ship them so badly and if they interact in the anime, I will honestly be happy. Nintendo and GameFreak always know what they’re doing when it comes to Shippings.

Especially when it comes to the Pokémon anime. They’re better with Ash’s relationships than anybody.
For example, they show a love story with Ash and Misty, going from bickering children, to great friends, both inspiring each other. (This is not because I’m an AshXMisty fan, this is actually true. You can see it from Season 1-5, and it does continue afterwards in Chronicles, Advanced Gen and Sun and Moon)
Then there’s Ash and May, Ash acting like someone May looks up to, and the same with Dawn.
With Iris, though... more of the bickering children without the growing up part that they did for Misty for some reason...
With Serena, it’s more of a crush story. Ash becoming a great inspiration for Serena, making her have a crush on him, but Ash doesn’t share the same feelings as he just sees her as a great friend alongside his previous.
For Mallow, Lana and Lillie, pretty much great inspiration, great friends and helps them grow as people as well as help gain their confidences and bonds with Pokemon.
I could go on, but I think if I did, we’d be here till new year.

After I took a look of both of them, this came into my head and I honestly thought of Raihan is the best choice of Nessa because you know, both steams to be perfect for each other.
