"Papa, wake up!" The smallest lion in existence roared.
Evengii groaned as he felt small feet walk up his back. Not just one set, oh no, but two. Annnnd...three. Without having to rouse himself or open his eyes, he could tell the fourth lied at the side of the bed. A chuckle rumbled under him. Rude of his wonderful wife to laugh at him like that.
When he felt a small gnawing on his shoulder, he knew it was best to finally wake. A murmured 'what time is it?' brought the answer of 'eight'. When the lion roared again, he rolled over, using his extra arms to catch them all before they fell off him. a tired grin pulled at his face, his eyes finally opening to take in the day.
"Morning, you mongrels."
Gleeful and childish cries met his ears. Looking around him brought the meeting of the shining faces of his four children, along side him was the most wonderful woman in his world.
Leonid, his small lion, took only a moment before returning to her gnawing. His more delicate daughter, little Dasha, was still in her pajamas, one of the rarest sights he knew. To his right on the bedside sat Feliks, looking as if he were dragged here if anything. Finally, resting in the dip between Ilanis's body and his own was Timofey, playing with the fingers on one of Evengii's hands.
Leaning over, Evengii pecked his lips to his wife's forehead, earning an amused "Good-morning." from her.
"I think they might be ready to wake up." He commented, using a free hand to gently pry Leonid from biting him. Tugging Feliks up, he rolled to his side again, caging the four f his children and the love of his life in his six arms. "Five more minutes, kiddos." he whispered, nuzzling in and whining along with them as they sang out in a chorus of protests.
