Just experimenting with fruits, and what cuts can do, with some light.Not sure if it was the right framing or the right font though.

not sure if anyone said this already, but...
choose a font that's simple, like the picture itself. nothing too bold or fancy/intricate, or "cutesy". just an ordinary, fine font.

font maybe too simple for me.. my attention was drawn to the texture of the white matt the fruit was on.. which isnt good.. it shouldnt be that textured.. i like the texture of the fruit and the effect the cutting and the light had on it but.. its taken away by what it is on..

I spend a hell of a lot of time looking a 3d images, a lot of the people do lighting experiments with friut...this looks soooo much better 
this could just be me getting sentimental in my old age but the first 2 slices look heart shaped and the rest morph it into an apple, works very well with the red
The boarder doesn't look too bad, but it might be worth seeing what it looks like with the colours inverted or with a gradient the oposite of the main image.

Oh, I'm not toosure about that. Are they in your gallery? Actually I think orange must be easier to peel then apples.
When I start to do more fruit series, I think I am gonna try out with orange and lime, lemo and grapefruite... Could be interesting...

The lighting is excelent, i would like to know how you did it. The dark, almost black shadows provide for alot of contrast, although i wish that the center of the apple ( not being the skin or stem) was more of a white than a green, and there was no textured area near the bottom. The gradient at the top has a fair bit if saturation to it, but either than that, very nice composition. Looks very professonal.

Nice original idea... the only thing that I would want to see changed is the background - it just seems so plain. but other than that, everything else is just great! MmmMMMmMM.... apples...

Thanks!! The reason the background is so simple, is that - that plain empty canvas was everything I had at the moment to use... Sorry for that, and I do agree - It does look plain

This is about textures and shapes and hidden harmonic vectors... I must say I love your apple photos this one is a great yet simple idea. The rich texture of the ground and that on the apple are very detailed and they contrast with the homogenic texture of the skin and the background, making this photo, in fact, a kind of checkers board, a contrast geometrically arranged with the other... Interesting, i love this photo...

The framing is right, although I'm not convinced by the font. However, that doesn't matter. The photo is great, it looks like such a nice apple, such a lovely colour. The light you've got exactly right, and I love the way the background softens behind it.

the font is nice, suits the image, but there is a way to large space between "delightf" and "ul"... (place the marker between the letters, hold in the alt-key and use your arrow-keys to adjust it fast in photoshop)..
Anyway, the Photo is really good! Very lovely color too. One of your better submissions!
