Subject inspired by translations of the original novel & draft notes left by the late author, Yoshida Sunao.
Pencil sketch inked by hand, scanned and then colorized in Photoshop 7.0 (using mouse and Wacom ArtZII tablet).

No, this is neither the AbelxEsther pic I was recently asked about, nor the fanfiction fanart I'm working on for Vestibulocochlear... sorry sorry sorry!
I just HAD to get this one done first. The inking is a few weeks old now, but the colorization was just finished - so here it is! I would like to do more with the background, and perhaps will at some point, but for now it works all right.

Absolutely beautiful! I love Caterina's peaceful expression, and Abel's protective pose. The red-blue color contrast is great too!

I favorited this and I forgot to comment! This is probably one of my favorite Trinity Blood fanart I've seen. I'm a huge Caterina fan (not so much of Abel) and I love how you did her hair and the softness of the moment.

I think Catherina's hair is one of the prettiest hairstyles of all the animes that I have seen.

Thank you! I agree - Caterina's hair is lovely. I think it might be because they needed to copy Thores Shibamoto's art (not sure I spelled that right... it's correct in my credits though, pretty sure) and that was so much more intricate than most anime art directors choose to mess with. It's one thing I really appreciate about the TB anime - they TRIED!
