As lightning shatters the earth belowIts brilliance encompassing all
Upon these crimson wings we glide
To heed the mighty heavens' call
Speed unprecedented lifts us high
Clouds belows us and stars above
We take to the night and bid farewell
To the lands that we both love
But cry not, beloved Altea!
We have yet to vanish so soon
Cast thy eyes skyward and you may spy
Our spirits darting across the moon.

This is the artwork I promised for 1,000 hits! I
my friends and watchers so much!Creation time: 7 hrs.
Tools: Prismacolor brand colored pencils and markers, Micron brand fine-line pens
Marth is my best Smash Bros. character, I figured a bright orange dragon would be a great contrast to his... blue-ness.
For this one I employ this strange technique of putting a translucent sheet of paper over a finished line art, the result is a piece without black outlines...
I don't like coloring by hand though. It takes a bit too long for me.

No, not really. I've never been good with dragons or monsters. It was always fairies and cute little animals when I was growing up. ^_^

well the first advice I would give you is to put these eyes IN the head. if you want a less cute dragon (but not ferocious) eyes haven't to draw borders, it shouldn't be globular like this.

I knew sooner or later someone was going to point out the funny eyes.
I have a few dragon models, like little statues, that I try to use as reference. They're too detailed, I get confused easily. :/

and don't forgot to notice want these eyes (on you'r drawing) changes, they are not bad, just not what you want but if you want a cute dragon later this little "tip" could be useful!

Cute is my drawing style for some odd reason, I'm going to try to break that pattern and draw some monsters or fierce things for a change. Thanks again for all the tips you've been giving, they're really helpful.

Heh... that's typical of me.
I never really pay attention to the eyes when I draw. That, and I draw guy faces the same way I draw girl faces, so that might explain it.
Thus all my male characters end up like bishounen (pretty-boys), and I can't stand that.
But then again, a lot of the Fire Emblem lords are bishounen, so I try not to be bothered by how my characters turn out when a series like that has an influence my drawing style. I could experiment with different types of eyes for next time, though.
