Description Drew this today at work. No references, just pastels. Smudgy smudge. He started growing extra fur on his head, so he can be Thlayli.

The anatomy of this rabbit is quite remarkable, it seems. The only thing I would say that need improvement would be the angle of the head. The rabbit seems to be mid-jump diagonally left. The head, on the other hand, appears to be angled more so to the left, not so much diagonally. That may throw some people off. He's jumping this way but looking that way?

I really like the shading techniques you used. The ground shadow is very accurate; it's easy to see where the light is/would be. I commend you on that.

The colour is also well done. I would suggest that next time, should you do another like this, that you perhaps use different shades of brown, or perhaps blend the brown with some yellow to get an-almost gold colour. Just to play thing up a bit.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Ya, I do need to work on my anatomy there...practice, practice! Also, that's really good advice about using yellow, or another colour to spice it up! Haha, I need to be a bit more adventurous!

Thank you again <3

No need to thank me ^o^ I'm happy to share at least something potentially useful.

Okay, this looks really, really good, i love the way that pastels look and you used them in the best of ways here!
Bigwig is probably my second favorite out of the whole book, and i think that you really captured him here.

The one thing though that really kind of throws the picture off is the way that his eye appears, as in, it should be positined up a little further toward his nose so it appears you are seeing the side of his head from behind as you do with the rest of his body. His far leg looks a little itty bitty bit akward too, but nothing much.

Again, really good picture, and the color is very brilliant!!! Also, great pose!!

Thank you so much for the critique! Ya, I still need to work on my anatomy and there's just something about bunny faces that still alludes me...

Anyway, thank you for your lovely words!!

Of course!!!

Bunnies are really, really insanely akward to draw, so i totally understand what you mean!! I haven't even mastered the body yet, lol. I forgot to add in there that your feet and paws look amazing!! They are also very hard to capture, and you did really well on them! Most people i've seen just do them like dog paws with really long and thin toes, but you made them actually look like legitimate rabbit paws.

And no problem!! Great picture!!

Ya, I actually always remember what Richard Adams said (and also by looking at my own bunnies) about how rabbits have no pads, just fluff

So cute! Was he dark? I've got two bunnies, one called Hyzenthlay (because she's an amazing escape artist and almost looks like a wild bunny) and "the little one" who has a half-black, half-white face. I wanted to call her "Fu-Inle", but I used up my watership down name quota with Hyzenthlay

This is really good. My only suggestion (since you requested critique or I wouldn't mention it) is that maybe he could use a highlight in his eye to make it look a little more alert.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I see exactly what you mean - I think I got so carried away with the shading of his feet and tail I forgot about his eye!
