What an interesting piece! While the obvious interpretation of it is the one in the title: inspiration, freedom of thought, empathy and tolerance, I had another though. The fact that the red colour continues beyond the edge of the canvas makes me think that there is another mind linked to it, just outside of what we see. So, to me it speaks of the connection between minds alike; lovers, soulmates or siblings, perhaps separated by distance or circumstances, but still one in essence.
