I am. And I see nothing but beauty.

You're beautiful even if everyone else thought otherwise because Β your beauty resides in the truth and the rest that see darkness reside in the dirt thats why they are stone when you look at them because thats what they are.. Love is the only thing that will mirror your image back at you.. love will not turn to stone because it is life and life will always live on... The problem was you fell from the heavens and seen no equal to your own and turn those around you to stone because in truth thats what they are.. Medusa was alone with only manikins to keep her company.. Her heart was so big and so full of love and passion..Β
Her snake hair illustrating her ability in connecting her to other heavenly bodies, moving in singularity with one another, having a mutual understanding of each others perfect nature.. She was a Angel of the most High ministering day and night.. Venom coursing through her veins potent enough to drop a beast dead on the spot and a serpents song so beautiful it would wake you from the dead... Her vanity was her weakness and left an open spot for attack, and so she was cursed having to live among humans till she was able to humble herself before man and reclaim her throne in the heavens once again...
Witnessing her beauty with my own eyes I can tell you that she just wants to be loved. We all crave that someone see us for who we really are, because it feels nice, like bathing in the sun.. We dont have to hide in the shadows putting forth a fake front so others might approve and move on, suffering no ridicule or exile from the group.. Medusa had no shadow to hide in,, her fishbowl was wide open for all to see and it was her truth. It was who she was, what she looked like on the inside... Medusa was in vanity because she put all her jewels on public display but instead of being humble about it, she took pride in her treasures and made others jealous of her good fortunes or gifts... She was cursed to learn humbleness. This curse was manifesting many different ways but always taughtΒ the same lesson..
One day a prince would come and sever her head and set her free of earthly chains and torment so many of us have,, like a crown of thorns embedded into our skull limiting us from understandings of higher and more meaningingfull things that empower us to free ourselves from darkness. The same darkness the townspeople viewed medusa in.. It was their own hate and judgment that turned their hearts into stone.. Medusa's only true curse was her ability to see the truth around her and in others, especially those who judged her.. She seen nothing but stone foundations of dirt and clay, that came from the dust and would return to the dust. Tears flow from her eyes not because all she has is stone to keep her company, but what she is longing for and separated from is, her true love,, one like her in unmatched beauty and majesty. One that all of the heavens bow before in fear and tremble.. One that could see her beauty and no harm come of it, for he too suffered the same afflictions... This prince would save her from her prison and take her away to a land we could only dream of where her dreams could finally come true after so long being treated with judgment and exile.
Medusa is a Princess and her beauty is unfathomable before mans eyes..

That's exactly right. Medusa was a priestess to Athena. Because Medusa pledged a life of chastity, many suitors pursued her. But one was the worst. God of seas, earthquakes & horses. Poseidon. He chased Medusa into Athena's own temple, hoping for sanctuary. She found none. Poseidon raped her on the floor. And for punishment, Athena turned the victim into a creature no man dared to gaze upon. The dreaded gorgon.
