Trust me, digital art is not 100% guaranteed to be easier. I am a great example of that. I cant do digital art at all, especially sketches. If you are going to try it I would recommend getting a inexpensive $50-$100 tablet first, then getting something better.
also, paint tool sai is really easy to use... And easy to pirate.
