Description Updated: 11/06/2010 @ 18:08

The fourth image from my final major project coursework, and the second of three back-up pieces from initial ideas that I didn't pursue further. As with the original two pieces, the concept revolves around the passing of time.

This is a minimalist seascape taken on the coast near where I live. It didn't turn out exactly as planned but this sort of use of negative space is something I will be investigating further in future.

Unfortunately, the image is somewhat lost against the green of deviantART. Check it out at Flickr here .

The classic sight of a person who lives near the beach, i have seen it for all my life.
This is the old and universal television, you can stare at the ocean for hours, like you miss something in there.

Yes indeed, I also live close to the sea so this sort of vision comes with an array of evocative memories and unformed thoughts.

i love this mist and all the energy of this photograph. Is like making many conflicts thoughts on a clear line of absolutely Piet Mondrian, Composition in Red, Blue, and Yellow(1930)!!! a wonderful water-scape like that composition.

interesting that you had the idea of the passing of time as an idea with this image, it was also something I had in mind with the two paintings I have posted (and a few "lost" drawings).

It's probably a topic that most people address at some point during their progression; it's close to us all.
Thank-you for the favourite-list additions of my work, it's appreciated.
