This happens to be another image from that particularly productive Newcastle session in September 2005. It is depicting part of the span of the Newcastle/Gateshead Millenium Bridge which crosses the River Tyne near the Baltic and Sage art centres. It's curious architecture but it is also heavily-captured on film, so I tried to take an angle that not many may have explored. I am fairly happy with the abstract composition that resulted, even if the image itself could do with some work. This is one that I'll probably return to when I have more patience for the post-work it needs.

love how the light helps define the perspective here, the gradient just sucks the viewer into the heart of infinity!

Thank-you. This is one of my oldest images, but it's still one of my stronger ones. I'm not sure what to make of that, heh.

I think that some pictures are strong because they have powerful objects/subjects on them. But really good photos in my opinion are those which at first seems to be ordinary or not that powerful. Usually they do not have that special object or subject on them, but they have that something that words fail do describe At first we notice those powerful objects and subjects, but in time some of us will start to see power in real things, things that have maybe more soul than look. If you follow my thought.
I think that's why some of the old/early photos for a while seem to be the strongest ones

Great atmosphere, the cleanliness of geametries compensates very well the dark setting with a right balance between rationality and feeling
