In the days that followed the rekindling of the Well of Allsparks, Unit E began to act as both liaison between the planets, and interplanetary task force to deal with threats beyond Earth's ken.Though only fourteen, seventeen and eighteen respectively, Rafael, Miko and Jack had proven to be more than capable of negotiating with alien species. Despite the protestations of senior Unit members, Agents Darby and Nakadai were given command of their own team and frequently ran missions cleaning up the last of MECH.

That look on Jack's face. That is the look of a train of thought that derailed to the tune of a whole crate of C4. I am guessing that he was planning something out all logical and Miko sideswiped him with something out of the blue.

Well Unit E existed before the kids joined. Jem and the Holograms, Micronauts, M.A.S.K., etc. They probably disliked a couple teenagers being of equal or higher rank than them.

I'm on the fence about that. He certainly seems more at home with the Cybertronians, and he never mentions his brothers, so there could be fighting. I think in a family that treats an A- as something to be ashamed of, there may at least be some emotional problems. They probably think they're just doing the best they can, maybe they're strict because super high grades and a scholarship are the only way he'll ever be able to afford college? I do tend to think, though, that the Autobots are more of a family to him than the Esquivels (though if he opened up to them, perhaps at least Pilar would come around. Being closest to him in age, I feel like she'd be more adaptable than whatever-the-other-siblings-are-named)

Yeah, though one friend of mine is adiment that Raf's family treats him poorly espeaclly when he says that NO ONE except his older sister listens to him and that is only SOMETIMES.
I actully wonder if Raf's parents might be a bit upset that he baseiclly vnasihed from their lives and wants to work from the Goverment isntead of going to collage

I suspect there may be some resentment from the siblings too. I mean, he is a 12 year old and he's ahead of most of them in grades. They may not like being in the same classes as Baby Brother, and having teachers make comparisons between them.

Yeah, so imagne that when the family gets word that Raf's not going to collage a big fight ensues and Raf packs his things and storms out and his father follows him attempting to drag him isnde.
Then Bee gets invovled and lets loose verbilly at Raf's parents transforms and rives off with Raf

I've seen, actually, several theories that Raf is neglected rather than enduring aggression. Like, the kid that they forgot to pick up at school and had to walk home, the kid who never gets new clothes, the kid who gets left home alone very often (and in Nevada, it's generally agreed that the child must be 13 before being left home alone, from what I've read on the subject). Or perhaps his parents fight with each other, or the siblings fight with each other. Either way, he didn't seem especially upset when he was just on the run with Bumblebee.

Maybe they feel like they have to walk on eggshells around him, even though he's tougher than they think (none of them could ever be as scary as a furious Megatron inches from your face, after all).

My ideas for what Raf's been up to thus far have been basically narrowed down to the following handful of thoughts:
1. he's probably about 21-22 years old, and likely already has a doctorate. (Courtesy of being a genius plus scholarship from the government)
2. he keeps sporadic contact with his family, mostly his grandparents (who took the Aliens thing surprisingly well) and his sister Pilar
3. Raf tends to be the Ambassador, and isn't usually sent into combat situations. He understands the individual cultures of the Cybertronian subgroups well enough to have meaningful conversations with them.
4. (this one's kind of silly, but it's still a fun idea) Raf may or may not have been an intern for S.H.I.E.L.D. when he was 19. He's not allowed to confirm or deny it.

and he may or may not have a pet chincilla named Gizmo, because Ratchet thought it looked like a gremlin.

Also do you think that as part of a bonding scene Miko catches June with her old Wedding Gown which Miko urges her to wear *It barly fits* But June enjoys the "bonding time"
Miko secertly just wanted to put June thourgh the same trails she put Miko thourgh but dosent have the heart to tell June that.

I imagine it as being simple, long lace sleeves and a high collar. (If she got married in the 80s, that's probably what it would look like. It's what my mom's looked like anyhow.)

The one I'm thinking of would be a mix of the second and third links. (80s was puffy as heck, 70s was a bit slimmer. 70s styles would have been more affordable for June, I'm betting)

did you know that in Victorian times, you weren't supposed to wear white as a wedding color unless you were poor? It supposedly signified that you had no dowry if you were the bride. And long long before that, (Renaissance or earlier, I think), the color considered "proper" for a wedding gown was blue, because back then blue was considered the color of innocence and purity. The dress in the link reminded me of that.
