Description A photo shot in England. This inspired a chapter in my story "Specters." The day we went, the fire alarm went off, and we ended up standing outside in the pouring down rain, but I still managed to get this great shot. The Roman influence on Britain is quite fascinating.

You should read "The Conquest" by Julius Ceaser. Great insights into Rome's first contact with Britain. Excellent photography of these ancient fossils of architecture, btw.

Wow! I really love the statues that you got; they look like they're just gods waiting to be called on...

Very nice picture!

It's *the* bath! *giggles* Oh my, the mental image that pervades my mind is wrong . . .

They have a bath like this in Banff - it's a mineral bath fed by underwater hot springs. It's not used anymore, but it also has the same off green colour. The Romans were strange for wanting to bathe in something like that. I'm sure it's very healthy, but still!

Wow, that water looks horrible!

Doesn't it though? You should see it up close. Centuries ago there used to be a roof, but now that there isn't . . . yeah. Strange things happen to the water.

That is amazing! :] I love the reflection in the water. Which is so. GREEN. x'D Crazy Romans. :]

Wah! It reminds me of the green tea I soaked in at a public bath in Korea. That green is perfectly toxic, but the architecture and everything is lovely. I think the scene you mentioned felt more enclosed, but that might have been the atmosphere you invoked. (Need to reread.)

Thank you! And yes, the bath in the story was enclosed instead. Of course, this bath was too, originally . . .

Very nice! That water looks so inviting. I can just picture Entreri walking suspiciously in...unawares of the dark elf lurking in the shadows. Great angle especially with the reflection.
